Bari Province

The Province of Bari – known as the "coast of the Trulli" – is an ideal showcase of the remarkable heritage that the Apulia region has to offer: an outstanding sea, the beautiful hillsides of Murgia, imposing manor farms, Romanesque cathedrals, the castles of Frederick of Swabia, enchanting white villages painted in lime, a wealth of gastronomic delicacies and the incredible "Trulli" constructions that are part of UNESCO's World Heritage. The Trulli coast extends from the Itria valley (Locorotondo, Alberobello) to the Alta Murgia National Park, across the central stretch of coastline dotted with coves of sand and rocks near Monopoli and Polignano. The Trulli coast is made unique also by the high quality and the vast range of accommodation facilities available: from luxury five-star hotels and former aristocratic palaces to holiday farmhouses. The natural and historical appeal of this area is further enriched by cultural programs and attractions like the Petruzzelli Theatre in Bari, the performances organised in the extraordinary Castellana caves, local gastronomic festivals, the traditional production of terracotta whistles of Rutigliano, and the marvelous Carnival of Putignano. Sport attractions include unique cycling routes. As for nightlife entertainment, at  night the old center of Bari provides endless choices with its clubs and the discos on the beaches of Capitolo. A land for everyone, to be visited year-round.
